Think about this for a second.....if heaven and hell are real, then where are they? When I was young I was told that heaven was up in the sky and hell was under the ground. I used to stare at the ground for quite a while as a child in curiosity. I guess that is just my nature. As I got older I realized that the earth was round and that there were people living on the other side of the world as me. I also learned that there were no beings living under the ground. At the same time I found out about there being no Santa Clause I thought it also made sense that heaven and hell were just as real as Santa Clause because it exists in the minds of people and nothing more. Except when I questioned my mother about this she got very angry with me and I never approached her again. I am an adult now and I realize why so many people believe in heaven and hell. It is difficult to imagine that when we die there is no where to go, but people do not want to go everyday living with that kind of reality. We all know deep down that there is no where to go when we die, but it is hard to accept, so most of us live in a fantasy land. Are heaven and hell real? They are real if you want them to be, but only in your mind. But there is no special or bad place to go once you die.

We believe in Paradise and Hell. Paradise is the abode of enjoyment which God, the Exalted, prepared for the righteous. The blessing they enjoy there, no eye has ever seen, no ear has ever heard of, and no human being has ever imagined: "No soul knows what comfort is kept hidden for them, as a reward for that which they used to do." (32:17) Hell is the abode of punishment which God has prepared for the unbelievers and the evildoers. The torture and horror in it cannot be imagined

without it, God would not be the Just and Wise and merciful God He is. God created men and made them responsible for their actions; some behaved well but others did not. If there is no future life in which the virtuous are rewarded and the vicious are punished, there would be no justice and the creation of men in that way and the sending of Prophets to them would be to no purpose at all. But this kind of behaviour is not expected of a man known to be rational and just, let alone the Perfect Creator.

Without belief in this Day on which everyone will receive his just deserts (when the wrongdoers are justly punished and the righteous are rewarded bountifully), man would lose the impetus to behave fairly towards others and the oppressed would grow hopeless and miserable.

Belief in the Hereafter is an essential element that helps to control human delinquency and establish collective happiness and virtues in society.

Wow. A majority of the answers is no. Be aware that they are mistaken. Heaven and Hell are just as real as the Earth itself. You want eternal happiness, shoot for Heaven. But know that to get into Heaven, you gotta serve the word of God. And for all you non-believers: *1 Corinthians 2:14*. one of my favorite verses.

Oh yes! Heaven is a world inhabited by spirits who have been born of the Spirit of GOD. They do the will of GOD and have the righteousness of GOD. They participate in divine knowledge of good and evil. Adam started life in the Garden of Eden in Paradise. His life there came to an end when he was not in the position to participate in divine knowledge of good and evil.

By the way, man is dual in nature: The spirit and the physical nature of flesh and blood. The spirit is inherently eternal. As for man, his spirit has been created for a pure and sinless life with GOD and can only function in a life with GOD. On the other hand, the flesh is reserved for sinful life with Satan. It is perishable and its life achieves nothing. Also, it can never be righteous or justified, ever.

When the reign of Satan ends, every thing physical will be destroyed. The earth will then become spiritual and therefore, one of the heavens.

The purpose of the Mission of Jesus Christ is to revive your spirit and reconcile it with GOD. The combination of the New Covenant and Baptism unites your spirit with Jesus Christ in His death and resurrection. You are born of water. Your spirit can now be born of Spirit and you can enter into the kingdom of heaven. John 3:3-8. Otherwise, you stay outside, without any activity whatsoever. And this is eternal. The possibility is there that a lot of spirits will be caught in the fire that destroys the physical world when Jesus appears in the sky. That is HELL.

Let me remind that the Bible does not say that you are born again by giving your life to Christ. What does He need your life for? Rather, He is a giver of life that is eternal. Why don't you grab it?

Please visit my web site in particular the blog for spiritual information which it appears you badly need.

Maybe it is... maybe it isn't. What matters is whether or not you stand to gain from that fact or not. If heaven and hell DID exist would it change your life? If so, then something already needs to change in your life - whether or not you believe in biblical stories.

I am not a Christian, I do not believe in heaven and hell as places. But there certainly is pain and suffering in this life (*hell?*) and I believe in the potential for finding a greater happiness (*heaven?*). It is up to you - it is my opinion that nobody can answer that question for you.

Better to hope for heaven than hell!

Always choose heaven!

Yes.
Heaven:
John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

Hell:

Matthew 10:28 - And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

hell is a real place satan is real demons are real they are former angels who were on the side of Lucifer who is now satan and went to battle against God . they are all now in hell you and all people who do not accept that Jesus Christ is the son of God will go there and have your flesh torn from your body demons will laugh with joy as they see you weep and gnash your teeth in the never ending fire that burns you without end yet you do not die this goes on for all time.

You need to work backward. Your first question should be, "is the Word of God true?" From there, you can answer any of the other questions based on the findings therein.

My blog in the link below proves without doubt that the Bible was written by God through man and is indeed true. And I certainly would not bet my eternal soul that it is wrong.

The Bible says that hell is a real place--not a state of mind.

The Angel prophesying to Daniel said it was a real place...
Da 12:2 - And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt.

God revealed it to Isaiah that is a real place.
Isa 66:24 - “And they shall go forth and look Upon the corpses of the men Who have transgressed against Me. For their worm does not die, And their fire is not quenched. They shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.”

Jesus confirmed God's prophetic word to Isaiah three times!
Mr 9:44 “where ‘Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.’
Mr 9:46 “where ‘Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.’
Mr 9:48 “where ‘Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched.’

...and described it as a dimension of darkness.
Matt 25:30 "...cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth."

Jude spoke of it...
Jude 7 - suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

And John in Revelation also described heaven in detail.
Re 20:10&15 - And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire...and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

I would not bet my eternity on man made philosophies and against the Word of God.
