Warm clothing and sunglasses - as Skis, Snowboards and accessories are often even rented by residents.

And even warm clothing can be bought here - actually there is virtually nothing that can't be bought in Switzerland... :-)

I would not know any item that's specifically needed for Switzerland compared to any industrialised state in the world...

OK, you should not forget your passport and an entering visa, if necessary - and your driver's licence if intended to drive a car - and a credit card if intended to rent a car or go shopping without cash.

Of course, any common foreign money can be exchanged at any bank in Switzerland.
