So my ex of a month has moved on to another girl that he knew i hated....I can tell that they will never be as close as we were......she parties and hangs out with different people....and he is totally not like her at all.....so is he trying to show me something? and how should i act around him if i still have very strong feelings for him?

It's probably best if you just get on with your life without him. BUT since you still like him and have strong feelings, when you're around him, be nice, a little friendly but not too friendly, and then of course smile. Don't say anything about getting back together, keep the conversation simple and about current events/happenings. Also, make sure that you look good. He may still not want to get back with you but at least you'll know that you tried. That should bring you some satisfaction. And if he doesn't want you back, he's an idiot.

If he moved on with a girl that he knows you can't stand, he more than likely did it to throw it in your face. He's in a relationship with a girl that he is not compatible with; the relationship will end on it's own and he'll be at your door wanting you to take him back. I say forget about him. The best way to get over him is to reduce all contact with him. Show him that he hasn't hurt you and that you are a much stronger person than he is. Move on; I guarantee the second you stop showing interest in him, he'll be on you like white on rice.

Of course you're going to still have strong feelings for him that is just natural. And this new chick is totally just a rebound because he knew that you hated that girl. They won't be together too long trust me.

At first it might seem hard but you have to act like it dont faze you. then if he is dating her becuz you dont like her he will see it doesnt bug you, and he could possibly break up with her, then wait a lil bit and see if there is any chance to work it out, if all else fails just be friends.

she is probably just his rebound. he wanted someone completely different than you. You could try talking to him but there is a chance he just needs to get this (and her) out of his system.
