One thing you have to do is get some dental floss. Go online and look at the best way to floss your teeth. If you don't floss, you don't get rid of the plaque at the gumline. That's partly why you have gingivitis. Your teeth will really bleed when you first start flossing, but have some cold water on hand and swish after every couple teeth. Floss every single night. Be sure you're brushing close to your gums in a circular manner and not HARD.
You should tell your family that your gums keep bleeding and that bacteria on your gums can travel throughout your system and cause serious illness.

keep the brushing up, also floss a lot. A lot of people (like me :) forget to floss, but that will get rid of gingivitis. So floss.
A lot of mouthwashes don't do jackshit for gingivitis, but Listerine will. It has alcohol and will get rid of your gingivitis really quickly because it kills all life in your mouth i.e germs.
So keep brushing, floss (your gums might bleed a lot at first), and rinse with Listerine (at first do it twice a day, then when the gingivitis goes away, do it once a day, in the morning)
Dentists do not recommend using Listerine too much because it kills everything in your mouth and you should have some bacteria (some bacteria is healthy)
But it will kill the bacteria that causes gingivitis.

Hey Joho! my teeth bleed when i brush my teeth too... it is possible we have the same problem... :) well anyway you should regularily floss your teeth and brush them propperly, they will probably bleed at least untill the third time you floss, but after that it starts to stop, i guess your gums start to 'thoughen up', just keep it up for a week and you should notice a difference! I should start doing this myself again too! :)
Hope this helps!

hello
if you can't afford getting cleanings every 6 months, you should go to still and ask your dentist for a prescription for
Chlorhexidine mouthwash. this will help you but you need to brush twice a day including your gums and floss every night before you go to bed.
good luck

JOHO,
ANGEL WANTS YOU TO SELL YOUR COMPUTER AND BUY SOME DENTAL CARE. THIS AN OPTION CONSIDERING YOUR FAMILY IS TIGHT ON $.
THE REASON WHY MORE BRUSHING WILL NOT NECESSARILY HELP BECAUSE OF THE HARD DEPOSITS OF CALCULUS (TARTAR) WHICH IS MAKING YOUR GUMS SWOLLEN AND PRONE TO BLEED.
THESE DEPOSITS CAN'T BE REMOVED BY BRUSHING BUT MUST BE REMOVED BY THE DENTIST WITH SPECIAL DENTAL INSTRUMENTS.
A DENTAL SCHOOL IS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR PATIENTS TO WORK ON.CALLING THEM WOULD BE A SMART DECISION.

since u can't really get 2 a dentist rite now, use hydrogen peroxide as a mouth rinse like 4x a day and rite before bedtime. let it foam up before spitting it out. it will kill the bacteria and slow it down till u can get to a dentist. and drink whole (not nonfat) milk as your main beverage (like at least 6 glasses thruout the day) so your teeth can get the extra calcuim needed 2 fight this condition. and eat strong cheese, like sharp cheddar cuz it has antibacterial properties in it to kill more germs.

Look in the phone book for dental colleges in your area. They give free dental services. You will need a deep cleaning.
Start flossing once a day, too. Good luck.
