Certainly San Luis Obispo is closest, but I'm not certain how many flights you'll find in and out of this airport.

Santa Barbara may have more flights, and it's quite close.

San Jose, San Francisco or Oakland are all good, if you can take a few hours to drive south (maybe 3 hours)

Los Angeles, Burbank and Ontario would be the closest airports to the south, and these would mean a drive of about 4 hours.

There isn't one.

For a "major" airport, you have to fly into San Jose or Burbank and even those have limits. Otherwise it's LAX or SFO (both only about an half hour further), All of those are quite some distance away, at least 4 hour drive. The airport in San Luis Obispo only takes commuter planes and is very expensive to fly into and out of. The other area airports don't really have commercial flights.

You picked a bad place to try to find a flight too.
