Any degree of risking (betting) your money in a measured odds game, designed by a casino (who has the odds advantage), in hopes of winning big (which rarely happens).
For some, gambling can be like any vice addiction--meriting tragic results in the end. It's the true winners that play, know when to quit--and do so with disciplined control.
