Rev 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

The Political beast riseing out of a sea of people. This beast is a one world government system with multiple heads .Today its called the Unitied Nations. Which the USA is a member.
horns are symbolic of powers/nations

Rev 17:15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues.

Dan 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.

Rev 17:12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.
one hour, hour of temptation Rev 3:10, Rev 17:12
the beast Rev 13:11 is the religious beast, Satan, that looks like the Lamb. Meaning he looks just like Jesus, but speaking like the dragon(satan).

These ten kings/nations will be present during the reign of Antichrist, during that great hour of temptation.

The book is called REVELATION (singular). It describes kings and empires in symbolic form, but does not mention names. Through the ages, religious scholars have tried to apply descriptions to various "empires", from the Roman Empire to the Holy Roman Empire to the British Empire to Nazi Germany, etc. They've always found connections but the empires fall and the end doesn't come. The message is that empires will rise, dominate, oppress and fall. The Christian's job is to maintain Christian integrity in the face of the threat. Applying the symbols to a particular regime tends to focus attention on it rather than the Christian. The American "Empire" could very well be the monster THIS time around. The question is, how will you respond to such a realization? "Put not your trust in princes...."

The US is not mentioned in the Bible. The book of Daniel talks of 4 powers all of which have been in power throughout history. The book of Revelation talks of the end times (Gog and Magog) which many believe to be a coalition of Iran and Russia against Israel and is yet to happen, of course. A great read on current times is "Countdown to Jerusalem" by John Hagee. At any rate, read Revelation and see what the world will endure during the last days

No. Nobody knows what the vivid imagery in Revelations refers to. Many puzzle over it and some claim to have deciphered it,rather after the fashion of a prediction of Nostradamus. Many clerics are of the opinion that it should not have been included in the canon, but reserved to scholars for study. In the hands of the layman,it has frequently inspired a wide range of fanatical and millennial beliefs.

well, I think we the USA is the leopard with all it's different spots, that is suppose to mean a country with many cultures and ethnic groups and so on. I'm no bible scholar but I once read that somewhere a long time ago. The bear was Russia, and I forget the others. But I'm not the one to try and tell you about Revelations it's a very deep book and I'm the last person to try and interrupt it.

No. Revelations, despite popular belief, is not about current times. The Whore of Babylon is Rome and "666" is Nero Caesar. The whole book is a support book for Christians persecuted by the Roman Empire and it tells them that they will overcome it. It is not some sort of "Last Days" predictions. Believe what you will, but I studied religion in college for six years, this is the truth.

So what you're saying is that this book you refer to may have magic powers that can predict the future. The future predicting business relies on the fact that when the predictions are wrong, they are ignored, but get one thing right and it's a miracle.

The Book of Revelation was written to seven known Christian communities in Asia Minor (Modern Turkey).

Since none of the predicted things came true and the entire region is now Turkish and Islamic, I would have to say that the quack who wrote it didn't know his pecker from a pickle.

I know that Revelation does refer to certain current nations (not by direct name though such as "China") but that the US is not mentioned at all! Sorry but I don't know any examples of nations in Revelation off the top of my head but I do know that they are in there.

That's funny. You're trying to read something into the Bible. I'm guessing you've already got your ideas. Then you'll find the symbolism and start professing your ideas with the Bible to back you up.

Right?

Well...?

Right?
