Fruit juice works well, avoid candies and chocolate unless you have nothing else. Whole milk is great but not skim it causes more trouble. Oranges are great as do breads. You should be seeing a doctor at your age you could be showing signs of type I diabetes........any other strange things happening?

Anything with simple sugars and not much fat or protein, like soda, juice, Skittles or glucose tablets. The rule I learned is 15 grams of fast-acting carbohydrates (sugar, basically), wait 15 minutes, test your blood sugar, and if you're still low, consume another 15 grams. Candy is a nice option because it's easy to portion out ahead of time or when you're hypoglycemic. Your father may not be at any risk of hypoglycemia, though, since some types of diabetic medication rarely cause lows, like Metformin. On Metformin, I've never once had hypoglycemia, even when not eating, even after intense exercise. If your father is on insulin or a sulfonylurea drug, like Glyburide or Glipizide, then hypoglycemia is possible and he needs to carry something with him at all times in case his blood sugar drops. He should also make a habit of bringing his glucose meter everywhere so that he can test when he feels low. How low his blood sugar is will tell him how much he needs to correct and whether the correction was successful.

I am writing to tell you what an incredible impact these methods had on my life! I have had type 2 diabetes for 27 years. For me, the worst part of this horrible disease is the severe pain I constantly get in my feet. The pain is so bad that I avoid standing and walking as much as possible. I've got to tell you that within the first month, my feet stopped hurting altogether and I can now walk totally pain free.
Believe it or not, I even danced at my niece's wedding last month, something I have not done in a many years. I've been following the book for six months now and my blood sugar is well within normal range. I feel great!
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

RE:
What is the best thing to eat when your blood sugar is low???
I am 12 years old and i was getting real shakey at school today. This happened last night before i went to bed too.
So my mom called the doctor when i was at school today and told them what was going on. They said that they thought my blood sugar was low. So I was wondering what is the best thing...

Some orange juice or a fresh orange. It works quickly. Try to eat regularly. I carry an apple with me for when I hit a low. That with some nuts make a good snack. Stay away from sugar which will give you a lift, but follows with a low.
Great that you are asking these questions and taking care of yourself.

Orange juice is the standard, but any fruit juice will work. The sugars in the juice enter your blood stream fast and will rapidly relieve your symptoms. You need to follow the juice up with a high protein snack to keep you sugar stable and prevent you from "crashing" again. Peanut butter and crackers works well and would be easy for you to carry with you in your backpack at school.

Drink Orange Juice that brings up your blood sugar really fast. Or get a piece of hard candy and eat it. Then there is always a donut or cookie.

Any kind of fruit juice is good. The sugar enters your blood stream very quickly.
