Hills Science Diet Prescription M/D feline (cat) food is the only dry food recalled so far.
Who knows though if Melamine would not be found in other foods that processed their blend with the China wheat or wheat gluten or if some other contaminant isn't responsible for the contamination.
I do remember hearing of recalls years ago of a certain pioneer premium brand that was due to contamination related to using reject meat for humans still in the shrink wrap plastic and styrofoam trays. Styrofoam is a brand name but that substance has melamine and formaldehyde in it.
Makes me wonder. Especially since the FDA cannot confirm the cause of pet deaths yet.

The only dry cat food OFFICIALLY recalled is Hill’s (Science Diet)Prescription Diet™ m/d™ Feline Dry Food.

However, there have been several anecdotal reports implicating IAMS and NUTRO DRY cat and dog food. Several pet owners have come forward to report that their pets showed kidney failure after eating these dry pet food. PETA has called upon the FDA to investigate these reports, especially in regard to IAMS. I myself have read these stories from distraught people whose became ill after eating the dry kibble.

To all Pet parents,

Iams Dry, Eukanuba Dry dog and cat food do not contain wheat in the food and where not manufactured at menu foods plants. they are made at P & G plants.

Nutro Dog and Cat Dry food, and treats do not contain Wheat in their food, Do not import the grains they do use and their food is not made at menu foods.

Hope this helps to put some relief to pet parents.

go to the site directly the names are too numerous to list.

www.menufoods.com/recall

the tainted ingredient though is wheat gluten, still check the site as well as the site of the company who makes your cat food.
