No. The Argentine want the Falklands but they never owned it in the first place. When the British took over the Falklands, the islands were uninhabited. The Falklands were used as sheep and whaling stations. In the middle of the 19th century the United States Navy sent their mighty battleship the USS Lexington down to the Falklands on Britain's behalf to destroy the Argentine fleet, which it did. A hundred or so years later the Brits had to deal with the Argentine invasion of the Falklands.

The people of the Falklands want to remain British. It is their choice. How would it have been if Britain had not been prepared to go and re-take the Falkland Islands following the invasion by the Argentine? How would the Spanish have seen this in regard to Gibraltar? They would have assumed that the British did not give a damn and just have walked in to Gibralter and taken it over. Remember, Spain then was still a Fascist Dictatorship.

There will be no repeat or a Falklands 2. If such happens the invaders will have to deal with both UK and USA. The Anglo Saxons have invested a great deal of time money and effort in maintaining the Falklands over the last couple of hundred years. Why? It's probably the world's largest fishery and there's probably masses of oil down there too. To whom does all this oil and fish belong? The Anglo Saxons. You can even buy shares in it if you like! But don't blame me if it's just another Southseas Bubble thing.

The most important outcome of the Falklands war was that it forced the Argentine into becoming a democracy.

Ask youself this - how come, when the British left the Argentine in 1900 it was richer then than the USA? What happened to all of that wealth? The Argentine dictators squandered it, that's what happened to it. The Argentine is not going to get its grubby hands on the Falklands. Major force will be exerted against them in the political arena long before any such happens. If it is so that there is a military conflict, it will simply be the end game for the Argentine. No one is going to give up their share of the hard won treasure, believe me.

Britain's forces on the Island on my own would desire to defeat any Argentine invasion. particular there is going to be cuts interior the MoD, cuts of 7%. whether, maximum of this decrease would be scaling down waste. particular, some planes and ships that have been going to be outfitted are actually no longer additionally. whether, the Brits have 2 new airplane carriers that are going to be released quickly and there the countless maximum if no longer the main superior provider interior the international. there's a nuclear submarine that's huge-unfold to be based around the Falkland Islands meaning that if Argentina became to invaded, there county would desire to basically disappear for the sake of taking an Island. yet another factor is that the British militia has grown via fact the final conflict with Argentina, while Argentina's militia is rather the comparable as what it became then. Argentina has conscription so there militia isn't very professional. while the Brits have the main professional militia interior the international in terms of military, military and air stress. If the Argentine government ever tried to invade the Islands lower back, even by way of South u . s . of america they'd be very stupid to attain this certainly. So I especially doubt it is going to take place lower back. till now international conflict 2 the British militia became below cuts and became downsized. whether it became extra desirable for the period of 1938 yet no longer as much because it became till now. The Germans theory they'd take the united kingdom in 2 weeks as they outnumberd Britain over a million/6. a million twelve months later the British have been bombing Berlin and had wrecked any probability of Hitler questioning of invading lower back. you customarily would desire to be careful struggling with the British, its in there blood, they have gained the main wars, fought the main wars, had the longest conflict, shortest conflict and so forth. they have consistently taken on numbers plenty extra desirable than there own. So if every physique thinks of invading the British with the help of info basically has no thought. The Argentina won't make the comparable mistake lower back.

I don't think so. The military Junta in Argentina did all that mess. Now there is different and the Argentinian people are not going to bite that. They call Las Malvinas, as we know in Latino America and they think and believe that belongs to Argentina but England kept the control of the island. Now Argentina is moving in another direction and more democracy you can see there, so it is almost impossible to see another war among them. I hope not.
