EVERY DENTIST MUST ALSO HAVE MALPRACTICE INSURANCE. IF HE/SHE DOESN'T, THEY CAN RISK OF PERSONALLY BEING SUED AND LOSING QUITE A BIT OF MONEY.
I'VE NEVER HEARD OF ANY MEDICAL/DENTAL PRACTITIONER NOT BEING INSURED.

It should.I had a dentist pull one of my teeth once and poked a big hole in the one beside the tooth pulled.Ity was an accident cause her pick thing sliped but instead of her fixing the problem she said I guess you will need that one pulled in a few weeks.I left and a week she was shut down for being rude to patients and for messing up teeth.I never got a chance to sue

Yes, dentists are subject to malpractice.
