You can do it! One day leads to the next and so on. I have 11 years now, and I will never do it again! There is a new prescription I'm trying to get my husband to try called Chantix I have heard from a few friends it's great. Don't give up!!

OHHH, I am so sorry you are feeling that way. I know how you feel; that is why I have not been able to quit yet.

The best advice I can offer is to do things that do not remind you of smoking. I don't smoke while I am reading and I love to read. When I try to quit, I read as much as I can. I always smoke while talking on the phone so I try to stay away from the phone when trying to quit.

Exercise helps but I know that is not possible while you are working.

Good luck to you, my sympathies are with you.

My husband just quit dipping by using Nicoderm Patches, well, he actually used the Equate brand. He's dipped for a long time and he's tried to quit time and time again. He's been quit now for 2 mths now and swears by these patches.
I have an instructor in college who quit by using the new med. Chantix. Good Luck!

You can chew nicotine gum and then go to your doctor to prescribe some medicine to help you quit smoking like welbrutrim which they prescribe to people who are quitting smoking.
The money you save on cigaretts will offset a one or two time doctors appointment and the nicotine gum.
