As I understand it, it's some sort of escape plan for Christians. But I have never had anyone show it to me in the Bible.
For instance, I have had caring people show me 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. Yet the apostle Paul is not here speaking of a 'rapture' but rather, he is comforting Christians in the Thessalonian congregation with the promise of the resurrection.
Moreover, Jesus made it plain at Luke 21:35 that the great tribulation would come upon all those dwelling on entire.
So I have never seen it in the Bible.

There is not going to be a rapture but there is a sealing, and a reckoning. We have entered the Great Tribulation and we have less than 3 1/2 years until the kingdoms of this world become the Kingdoms of our God. What side of the plumbline do you stand? Are you a wise virgin or a foolish virgin? Are you a wheat or a tare, a sheep or a goat? Are you a Judas? Are you of the Tribe of Dan? Are you an Esau?

To me the rapture is not an event, but a personal spiritual experience. I do not believe that we are living in the end times, nor do I put much stock in the Book of Revelation. Thomas Jefferson once called the Book of Revelation "merely the ravings of a lunatic." I tend to agree with Tom. However, that is just my belief based on my own experiences.

I'm sure your well meaning, but there is no rapture. It is the biggest and most dangerous doctrine ever taught because satan returns at the 6th trump as antichrist meaning instead of Christ. He will be pretending to be jesus. Saying he has come to rapture you away. Only problem is The true Jesus comes at the 7th trump. Most well meaning christians will already be spirtualy in bed with satan by then. When Christ comes looking for a virgin bride they will no longer be spiritual virgins.

The "rapture" as it is most commonly taught today is based on scripture twisting and taking things out of context. I believe the scripture is quite clear that the church will suffer right up to the end. For more information than my mere assertion, let me know via email and I will put together something more conclusive.

I know that when the tribulation comes, if I am still around, I will not have to suffer all of it because I will be raptured before the really bad things happen.

Some of the Biblical teachings are in Matthew 24 and 1st Thessalonians 4.
The most common interpretation of the verses related to the rapture is that believers will be removed, and not have to endure the tribulation.
However, it is possible to interpret the verses to predict that believers will be around for the first half.
The main thing to be ready is to repent of your sins, and surrender control of your life to Jesus Christ.

We will be changed in a "twinkling of an eye", about 7/10 ths of a second.
Some think we will proceed on up to Heaven.
Some think we will instantly turn around and come back to the earth.
At this time, our body's will be Recreated.
Then, who ever dosen't have a body (the children of GOD who were in Heaven and come back with Jesus) will go back into their own Recreated Body.
Hope this helps.

The end times you speak of already occurred. Read carefully. It happened around 70 AD ...the destruction of Jerusalem and the end of the old heavens and earth...
