I think flour is a better companion for anything sweet....and....corn for anything else.

I think it depends on what you are going to do with them once fried. Flour shells are great with sweet things. Like fry your flour tortillas and sprinkle with cinn and sugar mixture, let cool and eat! Or under a scoop of cinnamon ice cream. Taco shells used in Taco Salad (the bowl part) are usually made with flour fried tortillas.
Corn variety are good for bean dips etc.
I guess the flour ones are just more versatile, and my personal preference.

both flour and corn tortillas are good when fried. Try a mixture of both. Its difficult to fry it however, its very easy to burn, even if you are watching it carefully. Just fry it and take it out even if it looks kind of raw.
