I would like to visit Canada but am worried about the low standard of living there, as I hear it is not as good as the United States.

Is running water and electricity always on, or are there constant blackouts? And also, since liberalism is much more rampant in this, what are the chances of me being accosted?

Also, what if I get sick? Canada has socialized medicine and I have heard of people waiting for weeks in hospital emergency rooms just to get seen by a doctor.

Hi!

I'm Canadian and all I can tell you, is don't come to Canada. It's terrible over here. I effectively lost my mother a few weeks ago because she was waiting for weeks in hospital emergency rooms.

Electricity is scarce and we have to walk some 20 Km/day to get some water.

Let's not forget about the weekly bread allowance. We have to wait indefinitely in line to get just a single bread...

So once gain, do yourself a favor and stay in this beautiful paradise known as the United States.

Maybe someday I'll be as lucky as you ;-)

Also, we live in igloos, and eat blubber, and I wear a parka, and moccasins.

And low standard of living? Canada has one of the highest standards of living in the world. Excuse me if it isn't your perfect little United States, but we aren't a developing country, or even a newly industrializing country, and we aren't impoverished.

Running water and electricity? Are you kidding me?! Do you live in a hole or something, because yes we do have running water and electricity, and there are usually not black outs unless there's a big storm.

I would also like to remind you that Canada has a lower crime rate than the US, so you're much more likely to be accosted in your own country than in Canada.

Waiting weeks in waiting rooms? No. We are worried about a shortage of nurses, but you're not going to have to wait WEEKS in a waiting room. We have a great health care plan. Sure you can call it "socialized medicine", but i call it FREE.

If you are this ignorant about the countries of the world, especially your own neighbour country, then I just stay where you are!!

GOOD RIDDANCE.

Canada Is the 2and best country for disesases it hardly has ant of the big ones.
There are hardly any posonous plants here. Canada dos not have balck outs (there not Africa) They are an Awesome country. Canada has the best haelth care cause it is free!
So you might wait a little longer then in the states but it is fairly good and the doctors are all nice!
I know all this because I live in Canada and if you want to visit check out Alberta It is AMAZING!

I was going to give you a smartypants answer like the others.....because I think you just want to provoke.

But seriously, each time I read and hear that the healthcare here is free...makes my blood boils. Of course it is not free ! Or one would have to believe that money grows on trees. If you live in large cities, you can be lucky enough but there is a serious shortage of doctors.

What is less known and not spoken about are the tragedies of people living in remote areas (Newfoundland, some areas in Quebec..well pretty much all over the place) and too poor to even travel to another province for specialists /and no nearby facilities to treat them who have to rely on charities to provide free plane seats. If it were not for those and be lucky to be chosen........well.......

My two cents.

But as for the rest....:-) LOL !

I am guessing this is yet another troll who enjoys knocking Canada, but I will answer anyway.

I am an American living in Canada, and I must say that my quality of life and standard of living is the best it has ever been.
I love Canada, and highly recommend it.

Perhaps you had better stay home and allow us poor peasants to get on with our lives.
