Hi, everything with my law violation is over and taken care with, but the problem is my getting my license back. I called the customer service and they told me that all I need is sr-22 insurance. But the thing is I'm not even going to be driving. I'm shipping overseas and all I want is to have my license as form of ID, without the hole in the middle of it if you know what I mean. So if I'm not driving, is this SR-22 one time fee or a monthly? I'm not going to make payments for auto insurance when I won't be even driving one.

It's monthly, but the SR-22 itself isn't particularly expensive usually. And yes, if you're required to carry an SR22 it doesn't matter if you're planning on driving or not, the state will tell you if you don't want to drive get an ID card instead.

If you have a drivers license, you will have to have an SR 22. You say you won't drive, but the bottom line is you could with a license, so ....

An SR 22 is a form showing you have insurance in place, high risk insurance. You can pay one lump sum, or some companies will allow monthly payments.

If all you want is identification, get an ID card.

The SR22 is a monthly expense. If you have a driver's license you will need an SR22.
If not then get an state ID instead.
If you ever plan on driving again you will need to get SR22. And the cost goes up over time.
