So I went out on 2 dates with this one guy named "Jay" in January/February and I thought things were going well. Sure enough, his friends stepped in and made things difficult enough to the point where he just stopped talking to me. I was told that he really liked me but he just didn't want anything serious. Fast forward to March and I hadn't had a convo with Jay since Feb 15th. I decided to ask this other guy in my class to Prom in a really cute way & he said yes. This guy happens to be friends with Jay. So out of the blue, a couple of days ago, Jay texts me saying that he heard I asked this other guy to prom and how awesome it was. then he asked if one of my friends had a date to prom yet. What do you all think about that?

*they made it difficult in a sense that they would make fun of him for it. he then stopped speaking to me after i told him I liked him for real and not just as a friend with benefits. now he's "dating" this girl in a class all 3 of us share. they flirt in front of me all the time in class.

yeah, but i just thought it was weird how out of the blue after not talking to me forever he think he has the right to say anything to me.

Clearly a sign that he still isn't man enough to date you if his friends don't approve. He is quite pleased you have moved on and found someone else. Nothing more deep than that.

This guy is way too controlled by his friends. Now you are still in high school so this is quite normal, but still--he is not worth thinking about and not worth considering dating. After all--for some reason he has got it in his head that YOU aren't worth dating. So you shouldn't consider him any better.

What do I think of what? The fact that you're in high school and have benefits?

I think he's over you and he's a playa and just looking for a way to get some more benefits from your peeps.

Well it means nothing. You are young. There are a lot of other fish in the sea. Wait for someone who treats you special.
