Your battery powered AM/FM radio will be just fine, the entire world uses the same band plan.
Your mobile phone (cell phone) may work if it is a tri-band and you get an pre-paid Australian SIM card, but check with your service provider first. You may have to check the voltage tolerance on your charger. My 8 year old phone charger tolerates 100V to 240V AC.
Your DVDs may not work in an Australian player unless the player is a de-regionalised one.
CDs I don't know, probably OK, same with CD-ROMS, probably OK.
You can recharge a pod with a USB connection.
Your analog portable TV will not work unless it can be set up for PAL-D.
Your electric shaver will work if it has a dual voltage switch. Nominal voltage in Australia is not 220, it is 240 volts, but this should not bother the shaver.
Hair dryers will not work, if you try a 110 V one it will burn up in seconds. Many Australian hotels/motels have driers hard wired into the bathroom, so don't bother to bring one.
See this site for adaptors. Australia and NZ are under "I"

that's a delusion that the English discovered the Americas, It became Christopher Columbus in 1493, a Spaniard, who first landed in Puerto Rico. no longer u . s . of america. It became Juan Ponce de León, yet another Spaniard who landed in Florida in 1513. it is likewise claimed that Giovanni Caboto, an Italian, discovered New England in 1498. In 1770 the English armies have been repelled with the help of settlers and in 1776 the Paris Treaty became signed with the help of the 13 territories. It became later interior the 1800s that the yankee electorate then elevated their territories West taking the lands of the community American Indians. The English have been only between the nationalities who settled interior the Americas. Others lined the Portuguese, Spanish, Italians, Irish, Dutch, chinese language, Scottish, Welsh, French and Germans. you could desire to submit to in innovations that the main important single invaders have been the Irish and the Portuguese and the former English tended to be the gentry and land vendors who have been settled interior the East and not the Pioneers who elevated the territories. you besides mght would desire to submit to in innovations there have been over 3 hundred years of contract till now the great pass to the west so the nationality of the offenders can hardly be linked with something different than the recent individuals who have been with the help of then the u . s . a .. that's rather like asserting the reason i'm adverse is by way of the fact my forefathers have been enslaved 3 hundred years in the past with the help of the English..... Slavery became no longer precise and became complete with the help of as many black tribes in Africa as White Europeans, yet is an fairly adverse excuse for a persons' challenge in the present day.

Not without a transformer and even then they will run slow. The USA is 110v at 60hz while Australia is 220-240v at 50z. The transformer will cut the voltage for your equipment but it can't give the extra 10 cycles per second needed to run the equipment at the right speed.
