is there any software that lets you open write protected files.?

Question

i have windowsxp on one hardrive partition and xp on another.the first one will not boot but when i log on to the other one i can still see all my file,but i cannot acess them there all write protected.

Write-protected files cannot be written to, but they can be read.

Open a file and File, Save AS to a new name. Work on the new file.
