Stop working out and start living right. Working out is bothering you, so you quit. Then what you need do to is workout so it fits into your lifestyle.

A few years ago I got a job where the parking lot was a half mile DOWN HILL from the office. They had a shuttle, but I got the idea that by walking up the hill each day I was forcing myself to exercise. It worked. I didn't see any visual results for a long time, but so long as I kept walking, I felt good AND THAT's the key! Oh sure, the first few days I thought I was gonna die! BUT the key is to find something which fits your lifestyle and keep at it. So Kept it up and soon I was walking up the hill, adding a block or two to complete a mile of walking each morning. Feel good about your workout and you'll keep doing it regardless. I now walk a mile every morning to get to work, I've lost over 50 lbs and working on getting to my ideal weight.

Now, be sure, I also eat right. I don't cut out things I like, I CUT BACK. Eat sensibly, not starvation diets. Your body needs all the parts of the old Food Pyramid, so don't leave them out. Cut back on carbs and fats, but by giving yourelf a bit of it now and then you don't feel as if you are starving. I eat desserts (split two ways, and relegated to teh weekends) I don't eat bread for lunch, but I do eat bread on the weekends, or when it suits the meal. I cut BACK not cut OUT. I don't stuff myself at dinner, I eat a healthy breakfast and a lean lunch.

Good luck!

After you work out, do stretches, that will help stop the burning. Muscle weighs more than fat, so, if you are working out to build muscle, you may gain a few pounds at first, then start losing. Check how your tight clothes are fitting. Are they a little loser? That is a sign you are firming up. You may take up to 3-4 weeks to see results. Make sure you get plenty of protein, as that helps aid weight loss, and get fiber in your diet. Try eating salads with spinach and lettuce and put cheese and chicken on them to boost your protein level. Your muscles need protein to get firm and help the loss of weight. Get a work out buddy!

I agree with Tumblebabe12. YOu need to find an activity that is fun for you. If you enjoy the ourdoors, go for a walk! If you like dancing, take a dance class or do aerobics. If you likeTV, then get on a treadmill and walk while you watch. The key is finding what you like, as not every exercise enthusiast enjoys the exact same thing.

If you continue drinking, you will never see any real positive results.
