Most wars in Europe were engaged in for power and money. The most destructive in the last 2 centuries, killing vast numbers, were about national pride. You'd have to go back to the religious wars after the Reformation to see anything partly waged in Jesus' name. The Papacy mixed up worldly ideas of control through force with Jesus' teachings - worldly methods of getting one's way seem to come easily for people. Most wars are about lust for power, land and money essentially.
Even the initial spread of Islam into Syria, Iraq, Iran and North Africa was probably more to do with Arabs' tribesmen liking for booty and battle, than religious zeal.
The crusades were instigated by misguided worldly Popes who hadn't studied the New Testament much. Now christians have the bible in their own languages. Some wars can be regarded as just wars, e.g. the war against Hitler.

Because the interpretations of the fictional book called the bible are diverse, and people do not agree on it's intent. So some believe it's ok to kill in the name of their god while others believe it's not. Wars are waged on against non-believers in efforts to convert them & blah blah blah. It's the endless cycle of religion.
Just another reason to separate people. It's not enough that we have race, position on the financial pyramid, language and culture to separate the human race..... We have to have religion to completely throw the world into chaos & cause hate, intolerance and war.

Because they are not truely following his word...they are fighting all the people who will not FOLLOW. Its all so stupid...none of us is gona give up our God or lack of...so the wars will rage for ever. Its funny most all religions talk of peace and acceptance and so few..if any really follow through.

Isn't that a contradiction in terms? "Christians making war?" Isn't that an oxymoron? True Christians do not make war.
But counterfeit christians do: and they invoke the name of their god to justify it. That is all.

Because He came to set one against the other unto the end.
Some for, some against.
If you get the seal of approval, you are in.
If you don't you are out.
I"M IN.

Because they have problems submitting themselves wholly to the teachings of Christ. The sinful nature still has a grasp on them.
