I'm catholic and i want to know how long i've gone without candy. I'm a chocolate fanatic and i gave up candy for lent

since Feb 21, Ash Wednesday. 40 days not counting Sundays so a total of 46 days you will have gone without it by Easter.
The pillars of Lent (what you are suppose to do) are
Sacrifice (giving up something)
Prayer (enhancing your prayer life)
Almsgiving (acts of charity)
Did you do all three or just give up candy ? Because that is the least important pillar.

Lent starts on Ash Wednesday, lasts 40 days not counting Sundays and ends on Holy Saturday, the day before Easter.
In 2007, Ash Wednesday will fall on February 21 and Easter on April 8.

The last day of Lent is the Wednesday of Holy Week (this year, April 4th). Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Holy Saturday make up the season of the Triduum and are not part of Lent.

It's a little over 40 days. Most folks don't know Sundays during Lent don't count as part of Lent.

it is ment to be 40 days but realiseing it was over I quired it that does not include sundays.
