I want to learn 19 centuery "language of the fan" for my hobbie (don't ask) Does any one have a site that will teach you it? Or maybe just some helpfull tips? Please, don't correct my spelling.

There is a book that I saw in a bookstore once...but you have to go to a real bookstore (like antique) not like a Barnes and Nobles.

umm the Essential Handbook of Victorian Etiquette I believe had a good chapter on that.

There are lots of books about Victorian Women that might be helpful to you--depending on how interested you are in the timeperiod or just the reenactment.
