Meditation: Sit relaxed comfortable. Become aware of your breathing. Start by counting them like Inhale 1... exhale 2... inhale 3... until you reach 10. once you reach 10 start from 1 again and repeat for about 5 times. If you forget which number comes next start from 1 again. Meditation is the art of mindlessness. And as you know our mind does not like to be left out. So start off with this exercise for a couple of weeks and gradually start focusing on nothing after you have trained your mind to focus on one thing only.

AP: Set alarm for an hour or so earlier than what you would normally wake up. Stand up and have a walk through the house then go back to bed. Just lie there and try to be aware of your body going to sleep. Once you feel your body vibrating and hear loud vibrations in your head just relax and go with it, try not to think though. Then suddenly quiet will follow and you will be free.

This is only based on my experience. But here is a brilliant site on AP. www.astralvoyage.com

Masters teach different types of techniques based on their skills, their capabilities, beliefs and obviously the needs of their students..

What I find to be fitting to an everyday life is slow and steady growth oriented / focussed "meditation"

If you are new to meditation, best is not to do this after a heavy meal... or else this can be performed any day / any time ...but do it every day.

1. Find a quiet spot.
2. Sit in a relaxed position and still / closing eyes is recommended, since that distracts us a lot - (dont sit so straight that your back is arched and is hurting)
3. Follow your breath
4. Breathe in and breathe out.... to the extent that it does not make you cough)
5. You dont need to hold your breathing or count... just breathe in and breathe out.
6. Do it for 15 minutes .. how to time??? ( put a timer or if you have a watch keep it next to you and if by chance you come out of this cycle early, go back and continue following your breathing..

You will ahve all truths revealed to you... you just need "one moment of truth"..

Hiddu/Jainism/Buddhist trick to learning to quiet your mind is clear your head and sit somewhere with lots of nosie, like a cafe outside or something, and keep your eyes open or closed. count to ten, but everytime something pops into your head other than the number start over. the better you get the quieter the place. the idea behind this is that whenever someone says 'go somewhere quiet and clear your head' you mind is cluttered with things all of the sudden, on the flip side we have a tendency to zone out more in loud and nosie day to day life type places, it's a LOT harder than it sounds. another is to think about your breathing and only your breathing, nothing else, concentrate on the in and our motion, slowly increase your intake and decrease the speed you do it. after you feel like you are done slowly shallow your breathing and quicken it, very refreshing.

A lot of meditation uses focus on one or other of the chakras. I find that i get different results depending on which chakra i use.

Astral projection, visions, intuition etc. seem to come more from focussing on the third eye - middle of the forehead.

I have never meditated myself, but I've studied about it. You develop meditating skills by practicing. Practice at a sceduled time every day, don't be dishearted if you are not having any success at first, you'll soon excell.
And it would be much better if you have a teacher to guide you.

You can do whatever. i like gentle music, laying down in a room that I can't be disturbed. just let you mind wonder and listen more to your subconsciousness or gut instink.
