The catholic church has it all wrong....
Saints are believers in Christ.....
The pope was just a man like the rest of us.....fallable
There is no such thing as purgatory....after you die you either go to heaven with Christ...or you go to hell without Him.
There is no "time of cleansing"......Christ did the finished work on the cross for us already and cleansed all believers of their sins.
If that were the case, then Christ's resurrection would not have been enough......
Silly catholic doctrine

You obviously know nothing of the Catholic church or why we believe what we do. To begin with, Pope John Paul II lived a very holy life and died in sanctity, having received the Last Rites of the Church. When you receive Absolution for your sins, you are free of the pains of Purgatory.
He is already in Heaven and can pray for us, the same as any other member of the Communion of Saints, living or dead. Christ Himself said that all are alive to the Father, so those who are in Heaven are alive and capable of interceding for us.
And where did you come up with the idea that people can pay to get their loved ones out of Purgatory? Indulgences have never lawfully been sold, and those who did were guilty of the sin of simony. The Mass is of great benefit to those who are being purged of their sins, and although it is traditional to offer the priest a small stipend (usually 5 dollars per Mass), it's not necessary.
As far as the accusation of Catholicism being a cult, honey, we're what you Protestants started out as. Martin Luther was a heretic who betrayed his own faith while keeping the parts that he liked. Check out what he REALLY said about the Virgin Mary and some of the other things that Protestants are always accusing us Catholics of wrongfully believing in.
I think you'll be surprised to find out just how Catholic Martin Luther's beliefs actually were, even despite his break from the Church.

News or testimonies about Pope John Paul II making miracles are steps to get him to canonization and made into a saint. One can never be sure if the nun is saying the truth or just staging a play to make a sensational news. If you do not believe in Purgatory as you said does not exist why get bothered by the news? One's individual prayer for the dead is actually enough to have his love one rest in peace, the one who pays the church to make sure the dead will rest in peace is probably not sure if he is heard. At least the payment helps the church maintain there own peace of mind of having meals to eat surely everyday.

If you were roman catholic, you wouldn't compare yourself or your brothers in faith with the late pope John Paul II. I don't think all the roman catholics that you mentioned, sacrifice himself and encouraged people to love each other, no matter religion, race, etc, the way the pope (PBUH)did. They made probably a lot of mistakes and have to wait to be purified.Who knows anyways, probably they left purgatory long time ago, and you bother yourself for nothing :)

You are incorrect. If you would like the correct information concerning the Roman Catholic beliefs about purgatory, you can email me.
BTW, Catholicicsm is very much biblically based, but most of those who condemn it don't bother to find that out for themselves.

Primoa has it all wrong if he thinks he knows more than the original Christian Church with over 2000 years on the job experience and theological study. In fact fundamentalists in general seem to be really good at making themselves look foolish. When poor people like myself can not afford to pay that does not mean that the Church will not pray. God loves the poor too. Jesus Himself was a homeless carpenter and the Church does not turn its back on the poor. In fact they helped me when no one else could or would.

Biblically, anyone who believes in Jesus Christ is a saint.
Catholicism is so far from the bible that I don't pay any attention to them anymore.
