dont mean to be nosy but my parents really didnt care much for religion they cared for the green stuff and Im really into finding out the truth behind all this should you mind and help me out I personally would not judge anything you would say and it would help out lots thanks

I wouldn't consider myself religious, But I do believe in God. And I do pray to Him everyday.I don't go to church, but I believe that church is anywhere you make it. And I believe that God does hear my prayers. And He does answer our prayers in His own time.

I am not at all religious. I post in here as a militant atheist, not always but usually. I am definitely atheist, just not really that militant.
Your parents are right about keeping the mind on the lucras instead of religion. God(s) favour those who favour themselves and being religious will not keep you from being poor.
Church going has certain advantages from a mercenary perspective. One of the largest is the collection of contacts you are exposed to. Churches are great networking locations. There is likely more business done at Church Socials than in all the corporation offices put together.
That being said, I don't possess the required hypocrisy to deal with religion and regard it with deep suspicion.

I think religion is a scam. I am not soo into the "green stuff' but pray to Jesus for food or use money at the supermarket and see what works better for buying food.

I am quite religious but wish I was more religious, because you never know what's gonna happen. You can't take the "green stuff" with you when you die.
