Yes, this is possible - although it is rare. A cat in heat releases her eggs about 24 hours after mating. Theoretically all sperms that have entered her the past day can fertilize each egg. If she mated with more than one cat within these 24 hours, there can be two (and even three or four) different fathers.

Cats basically launch their eggs for fertilization while the act of mating has befell so the sperm of that male will fertilize the egg. on account that she could be in warmth for some time she will mate with yet another cat and launch greater eggs to be fertilized by ability of yet another male. people commonly launch basically one egg a month no count if there are sperm contemporary for fetilization or no longer. Cats have 19 chromosomes of their of their physique cells and that huge type is halved of their reproductive cells so as that colour-determining cells are very lots a roll of the cube and the kittens might get recessive genes from the two ensure or in mixtures that are no longer the comparable by using fact the colour of the mothers and dads.

In humans there can be two different fathers for twins, so i imagine that more than likely cats are able to do the same.

As wierd as this sounds, yeah. Dogs can too. I watched one of those courtroom cases where people were fighting over puppies because their were 2 puppy fathers. It's really difficult to tell with cats who fathered which ones.

As strange as it is, yes. Just like humans, cats and dogs' puppies or kittens can have two fathers. It is very strange.
