When we want to uninstall some unwanted program so as to free up some hard disk space, we would normally do it via the "Add/Remove Program" under "Control Panel". My concern would be that by doing so this will bring up the default uninstaller that ships with the program itself. I also understand that after doing so there would be some registry entries that are left behind by the uninstaller. Could anyone recommend me some freeware out there that can solve the above problem, as I would like to have a clean system running every time.

Add/Remove also uninstalls with the help of software uninstaller, not of own but after that if you don't clean your registry manually or by a software than you will have problem & you will not have a clean system running. Download win xp manager or tuneup utilities from
www.softarchive.net & clean by 1 click cleaner.Be carefull while downloading from above site about rar pass. It is invariably www.softarchive.net but don't take chances.

This is specifically a Windows "Uninstaller"; It is somewhat more than a Complete Uninstaller, so check the page, and use a great utility:

The link to download the Util is at the bottom of the page

Run CCleaner (free program) afterwards. It will clean up the loose ends, and perform any repairs necessary. http://ccleaner.com/
