If you don't have any friends in your immediate area why would people from miles away want to visit you....????

If you are after friends join clubs and social events.

I always thought dancing would be ideal for this kind of problem.

You could always move of course.

I don't see why not. It's a bit of a long way to travel between London and Somerset but my girlfriend of several years ago lived near Southampton and I was in Leeds and it worked. She was originally from Sheffield and moved to Southampton (maybe she was trying to tell me something).

You don't have to restrict yourself to London, there's many places thare are more accessible to and from Somerset.

Just a suggestion here - have you tried getting involved in some activities where you could meet people, perhaps some local organisation or something related to your hobbies (cycling clubs, lifeguards, book clubs - whatever takes your fancy), you'll meet many like minded people this way.

Why acnt you make friends with people in your own area? There must be some local groups you could join, would be much easier than making frinds with people miles away! Look on the web im sure you will find something near to you. Good luck!
