Even though he couldn't show up, he should have at least called you to let you know he wouldn't be able to go. Let it go this time, after all, you did already call him and question him about it. And, we all let people down every now and then.
In the future when you make plans, remind him that if he can't make it, to let you know. Then, if he should do it again, let him know that you didn't appreciate being stood up, and that if he still wants to be friends, he should show some courtesy and respect.

I think maybe in a case like that, if you were able to; to offer to to pick him up etc...I've done that before and it worked out alright, but I think it's rude to tell someone you're going to be someplace to meet up with them and then either not show or at the last minute bale on them, but in this case, he could have called and plans could have been altered for it to be a easier night =)

I'd forget about this one. You made plans for a Saturday date. He didn't have the simple good manners or courtesy to call and explain that he couldn't come. Who needs him? You've got better things to do and other people to do them with. Don't waste your energy; he sure didn't!

I've had the same done to me and i felt absolutely awful and was so mad at the person for doing that, especially how i made so much effort when he just sat on his ***...YES you should definately be mad at him, let him know that you're not to be messed with and don't like it, it'll teach him not to do it again...and if you're that mad, maybe do the same to him?!

I had a friend like that, I basically told him to get lost. It is not the fact that he did not go. It is the fact that he lacked consideration and respect for you by not telling you he was not coming.

If he's any kind of a friend, he should have called and let you know that he wasn't going, or he was going to be late. I think he was very rude and owes you an apology.

I think he was rude and disrespectful not to call and cancel properly- he left you hanging and wasted your day. Don't waste more time being mad- just make new friends. He's not a good one.

You shouldn't be mad that he couldn't go to the movies...but you have the right to be mad that he didn't let you know that he wouldn't be able to make it.
