Orthodox Christians don't have a pope and never did and never will. The papacy was never part of the original Chiristian church that's why Orthodox Christians will never have one. Instead they have a "Metropolitan" and the current Metropolitan is Metropolitan Phillip. The Catholics have been trying to reunite with the Orthodox Christians to make one religion but that will NEVER happen as long as there is a pope.
They are Orthodox Christians from Egypt. All Orthodox Christians churches from all over the world are for the most part similar. The differences are the languages of their respective countries and their time-honored customs. For example, the Russian Orthodox Christians make the sign of the cross and then touch the floor (don't ask me why). The Coptics speak the current languages of Egypt which is some form of Arabic. In the Coptic Orthodox Christian Church, when the women get excited or happy they yell with a sound that is identical the the "battle cry of Xena warrior princes". I don't know how to phonetically spell it but it's something like "lee-lee-lee-lee-lee-lee-lee-lee!" Immediately after this, the oldest woman in the church yells "Ehh-eeee" three times and then all of the women yell again "lee-lee-lee-lee-lee-lee-lee-lee!"

The Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria is the official name for the parent church body in Egypt of the largest church of the Copts, or Christian Egyptians, which has a worldwide presence. The Church belongs to Oriental Orthodoxy, and has been a distinct church body since the Council of Chalcedon in 451 AD, when it took a different position over Christological theology from that of the Orthodox and Catholic churches, then still in union. The precise differences in theology that caused the split are still disputed, and highly technical.
It is the Church of Egypt that, according to tradition, St. Mark, the apostle and evangelist, had established in the middle of the 1st century approximately 42 AD. The head of the church, and the See of Alexandria, is the Pope and Patriarch of All Africa on the Holy See of Saint Mark, currently His Holiness Pope Shenouda III. More than 95% of Egypt's Christians belong to the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria, though other churches also claim Patriarchates and Patriarchs of Alexandria, among them:
The Greek Orthodox Church of Alexandria,
The Coptic Catholic Church of Alexandria,
The Greek Melkite Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch, Alexandria and Jerusalem.

the coptic church is the ancient Christian church of Egypt (and through expansion Ethiopia, Eritrea, and other places). It lost touch with the rest of Christianity after the 4th ecumenical council (451) except for places like Armenia. The word 'coptic' comes from the Greek for 'Egypt'. there are lots of websites about it.

It is nearly identical to the Catholic church, if there are differences I fail to see them.
