Is there a name for a group of people who believe every word of the Bible to be the literal truth? (women can't speak in church, disobedient children should be stoned)

Louis Theroux has just spent some time with people who come close.

But by their reckoning there are very few true Christians on the planet.
"The Westboro Baptist Church"
I'd come across their website long before his documentary, and I'd taken it to be a vicious *satire* of fundamentalist Christianity. Apparently not.
Don't visit their website unless you feel you must

No, I don't think that anyone follows the Bible 100%. That is because we are not perfect. We are just people who have been forgiven and are trying to live our lives like the Bible teaches. The Holy Spirit guides us in our daily lives but we do not always yeild to His counsel. We still have free will and sometimes we choose the wrong thing. I am Southern Baptist and I feel that they follow the Bible as closely as any denomination.

I try to, but I'm not perfect. You're quoting the laws of moses and Jesus fufilled thoes laws. Thoes people were in direct contact with God and it was better for the village to handle a disobedient child than to have that kid bring the wrath of God down on the whole tribe.

sadly, yes. There is only about 40 people, and they meet at someones house somewhere in California. We saw them outside a Billy Grahm crusade 2 years ago. We tried to talk to one of them and show him, that he's a little confused :( I don't know, about stoning children, but I do remember him talking about how women can't speak in church :(
