Jesus came to show us what God is like.
Yes as you all know,(much of this) Jesus was there in the Beginning, and our Heavenly Father who Loves us so much sent Jesus to take 40 minus 1 lashings so that every single one of us could be made whole, then to die and rise again so that we may live life in Him to the full - to enjoy it!
... Jesus took those lashes and the cruel death of His own free will. before He started, at age 30 showing people The Way, The Truth and The Light, -which is the only Way to God is through Him- satan tempted Him in the desert. satan said to Jesus if you are the son of God throw Yourself off this cliff - it is written "God will give orders to His angels to stop you from being hurt", Again, the night before His death, Jesus prayed 3 times, so fervently with sweats of blood, "not My will but Thy will be done". Jesus never had to die for us, but because He Loved us so much, He chose to. He did it out of His own Free Will.

God the Father sent Jesus, Jesus died and was risen by the Power of The Holy Spirit, when Jesus assended to Heaven, He True to His Word sent The Holy Spirit as He promised, to help us in and guide us into all Truth.
GOD is LOVE
There is no selfishness in Him, no arrogance or hate, He is without spot or blemish, He is Pure, Holy, Clean, The Righteous One. And He desires not one of us to perish but to come to salvation. And like Adam and Jesus we have a free will. We can shoose the right path or the path that leads to damnation.

God in His Patience and Kindness gives people many opportunities to come to Him, and will keep doing so because it is His Will and through His Grace that we would be saved, to come in and to go out and find rest within Him.
The earth and the people on it suffer because people choose to do the wrong thing. Bad things are done all the time. Bad things happen to good people and visa versa because of the choices that people make. We live in a fallen world. If we ask God our questions and tell Him our hearts He'll show us The Way. He'll guide your steps. He knows better than you what your like, years ago I used to yell at Him. It is only by His grace and I mean it, that a wretch like me could be saved.

From where I have come and what I have done, seen, and been through, not many surpass it. But the Peace of God does now.And God knows too well how human we are because He's been there and was tempted in every way known to man.
I'd encourage you to seek Him, ...He's only a knock away.

I believe LadyEagle has a good point here and I will help anyone I can understand. You can e-mail me if you want.
Here are a couple of really easy answers:
Question: Why does God allow bad things?
When God created everything including choice he had to create something to choose between. People act like we have millions of choices. We really have two. We can do good by loving each other and the Lord God. We can do bad by hurting each other and turning our back on God.
Question: Why doesn't God make everyone slaves to keep them from making bad choices like molesting children or murdering my son? (yes, my oldest boy was killed)
If we are really going to have choice God cannot interfere with the choices we make, he can only tell us what will happen if we make the choice. By stopping someone from doing something evil God would be taking away freewill and our ability to choose.
Question: Why does God allow disease to cause us suffering, like the bone cancer in my hip that has been in remission for near twenty years?
God does not promise life is going to be easy. God promises us that if we make the right choices and have faith God will help us all he can. If we suffered in torture for a thousand years it would only be a drop in the ocean of eternity. We can choose to be angry and hate because we suffer or we can choose to be happy and love God and each other in spite of our suffering. Our choice.
Question: Why doesn't God stop us from running off a cliff?
You never die. Your body does. If you run off a cliff does God have the right, once he has given you freewill, to force you to do what he thinks is right? Or should God give you the choice to choose what you think is right, running off a cliff.
God can try and talk you out of it, just like many Christians try and talk people out of running off the atheism cliff, but, if you demand that you have the right to run off a cliff neither God, nor I nor LadyEagle nor any one else can stop you.
I know most of this is brain dead simple and everyone knows it already. I apologize if I have bored any of you.

This is something that no matter how many answers I get or what the answer is, I will still NEVER understand about God. I want to know with all the killing and child abuse and horrible things going on in this world right now, why won't God just go ahead and send His Son down now? Why can't He just end it all now. Why does the suffering have to continue?

First three questions are more about hell, but they relate to God.
1. God damns all nonbelievers to hell. There are people in this world who were born, raised, and died never having heard of Christ, but lived otherwise normal lives. Do they deserve eternal damnation?
2. Animals don't believe in God. (I've never seen one pray or repent, have you?) Are all animals cast into the depths of hell to burn for eternity?
3. What is the point of hell, exactly? Christianity teaches forgiveness as a virtue, but that would go against the concept of eternal punishment. If one repented in hell, would one then be transported to heaven?
4. Why did God create life? The Bible tells us HOW, but it does not tell us WHY. Furthermore, if God created everything else for human beings, why did he create all the other planets in the solar system that seem to serve no purpose for us? And what about all the other suns, universes, black holes, etc?
5. Did Judas go to hell? He betrayed Jesus (hell), but later repented (no hell) but committed suicide (hell). But this was all part of God's divine plan (no hell). What's the deal?
I guess that's it. I eagerly await your response.

I would really like to know if he thinks a sin is a sin or if some sins (murder) is worse than others (not obeying your parents). I understand that sin is a sin but on judgement day I have a hard time thinking that he would forgive someone for murder as easy as forgiving them for not loving everyone or something smaller like that.

What did the serpent look like before the fall of man?
Supposedly, it was the most beautiful beast in the Garden of Eden, until it was cursed to crawl the ground and eat dust.

I have one..what do you think God thinks when people that say they serve Him...watch filthy movies, drink occasionally, and do whatever it is they want to do Monday through Saturday..then have postions in the church on Sunday.??
What would God say to this? What did God mean whenever He said.."come out from among them and be seperate"...or..be holy for I am holy??"
I know that no one is perfect..but we are suppose to strive for it. I heard someone say one time.."you are what you are at home"..meaning that it doesn't matter how you act in front of people at church..the way that you act at home, when no one else is around, is who you really are.

1. When God made the earth, and he said "Let there be light", who was he talking to?
2. What was he doing before he made all this neat stuff? What suddenly gave him the urge to make an earth-tent?

Since we are punished for sin by experiencing death, why are we later ressurected and judged and punished again? If animals have no free will, they have not not sinned, so why do they also die?

Why did he show up all of the time in the OT and then stop? It seems that once Christianity was formed that he abandoned them.
