As man is, God once was; and as God is, man may become. This little couplet outlines what can be known as the law of eternal progression. God became what He is because He passed through all the necessary steps to get there, including being a mortal like ourselves. We, by our obedience and diligence can become like Him, to live with Him and continue on our own path of eternal progression. Thus, before Adam and Eve, were other worlds going through the same steps that we are going through. When our mortal experience is over, there will be other worlds still going through it. We are not God's only creation. He has many worlds inhabited with His many other children. His creations are infinite to our minds.
As for the first question, Adam kept a Book of Remembrance in the which he recorded all that God taught him and passed that information down to his children, grandchildren, etc. That Book was kept by the Patriarchs as recorded in the Old Testament. In other words, Enoch and Noah were aware of this Book of Remembrance. Somewhere between Noah and Abraham and Moses, the Book of Remembrance was lost to posterity. We only know about it because of modern revelation telling us about it. So God's people have always been instructed to keep a record of His doings amongst us and our responses to His teachings and commandments.

People had to probably develop language before then. Time is the creation of man to keep figure...
At creation, God communicated straight to His creation. Then after men continued to wonder He started to talk to only his prophets and men further distanced themselves from Him.
Before the old testament, God spoke straight to the individuals whoever would have a dialog, that's the same today.
The Bible simply is a love letter to those who have the heart to learn.

He put life on other planets. I find it hard to believe that he would create 9 planets and only put life on one ! There ARE other lifeforms out there, I believe anyway!

He just meditated and floated through space and had some fun. Everybody deserves a childhood, even God.
