I am not bald but am less than pleased with my hair. I find it easier just to put on the hat and go out. YES, I avoid places that wearing a hat is unacceptable. what say you?

when I say inside, I mean my own home where nobody can see me.

No, I eat out with a hat....that is why I eat out ONLY at casual dining. I would leave a restaurant if they told me to take my hat off.

Nothing wrong with it. If you go out to dinner, or to church, or things of that nature, then take it off. Otherwise, have fun.

I think that some people say that wearing a hat while eating is rude because it seems as though you are ready to leave, and you are not relaxing and enjoying the pleasure of sharing a meal. This opinion is similar to taking offense when a person doesn't take off their jacket while visiting.
There is a certain casualness associated with baseball caps, and wearing one in more formal situations is "uncouth".
I often leave my hat on because I don't want to display my "hat head".
I wouldn't classify wearing a hat in certian situations as "rude", so much as "not polite".
"Are you here, or are you leaving? Take off your hat."

You can wear anything in the privacy of your own home, and it will be fine.....however, this being said, if you wear your cap in someone else's home or in a restaurant, etc., then yes, it would be considered rude.
I can understand you being "less than pleased with your hair", but know that you are still the same person, regardless of whether or not you are wearing the cap.
Have a lovely rest of the day.

No. You're not being rude. You have successfully arranged your life around wearing a baseball cap. Try going to a really good hair stylist. You might miss out on some really good things because of self-imposed limitations.

Usually it is considered 'rude' for a man to wear his hat while indoors - such as a restaurant, someone else's home, a meeting, work, etc.
If you continue to wear that baseball cap, you WILL be bald much sooner than you know.
Why not 'spring' for a good hair makeover at a salon for men?
