Paxil is a SSRI (Selective Seratonin Reuptake Inhibitor) and Wellbutrin is a SNRI (Selective Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitor).

No, both are not MAOI's. Paxil is a SSRI and Wellbutrin is unique and I'm not sure what you would call it, but its not a SSRI.

No, they are not MAOIs. If you are ever prescribed an MAOI you will get many instructions and warnings along with them. There are certain foods you cannot eat while taking them and there are many drug interactions. Believe me you will know when you are taking an MAOI.

Neither blocks the monoamine oxidase system (MAOI).
