Please list your religious persuasion, then answer these questions:
1. Is it okay to kill people if they DO NOT intend to kill you or someone else?
2. Is it okay to torture people if it has nothing to do with anything else (like where the bomb is)?
3. Do you respect, sanction, worship, or tithe to anyone who performs the actions in 1 & 2?
Okay! Let's see how y'all do...

I'm an atheist.
1. Objectively speaking, I don't believe anything is "okay" or "not okay". The universe has no vested interest in ethics. Subjectively, it's a different story: I disapprove strongly of killing people. I could imagine exceptional circumstances (e.g. if someone was torturing my family but didn't intend to kill anyone), but in practical terms... no, my personal morals are strongly against killing.
2. Torturing? Nope. I'm strongly against torture. However, as noted, I don't believe in objective morality: torture isn't objectively good or bad or right or wrong. My disapproval is subjective. That doesn't make it any less strong though!
3. Nope. Not unless you count the taxes that I'm forced to pay the government as "sanctioning" or "tithing".

I am agnostic and I follow no religious doctrine or dogma of any kind.. I also do not believe in any god/s etc of any kind although I do not discount the possibility. The answer to all your questions from where I stand morally is NO. I dont respect, sanction or worship anyone who would be involved in 1&2. As for tithes no way... I earn my own money and I use my own money for things I believe in like helping cats and dogs, I pay no tithes to anyone.

Are you going to swat us with Bush or play the "but God does it" card when we answer these questions?
I am a Christian
It's never ok to kill unless you have been authorized by God to do so.
***authorization - The moment our ancestors chose to rebel against God and pick a King to rule over them, God allowed this even though He warned against the consequences in 1 Sam 8:11. Then in about the latter 1700's our ancestors then rebelled against the King by dumping tea into the river(Boston Tea Party). We fought and gained our freedom. Our ancestors wrote the Constitution which ultimately gives states power to execute inmates if need be. This is what I mean by being "authorized" to kill. God allowed us to make our rules and govern ourselves, although it was not His original will.
It's just inhumane to torture anyone.
I am respectful of everyone, regardless of how they treat me. I tithe 10% to my church every 2 weeks. I only worship The Lord Jesus Christ.
I already know where you are going with this one though.

Constant search, Agnostic if I had to Choose
1) What if they just wanted to take all my limbs? Then yes, f*ck that I'd kill 'em. What if they wanted to punch me? No, that is rediculous. So to answer your question, it depends what thier motives are. I will defend myself if necessary and what results from that I'm not to worried about.
2) Torture is wrong. It will happen, and there is no way to stop it, but such is life.
3) Well it depends, considering the world is just shades of grey, and not black and white, yea sure.
