On here, of course, everyone says what they want. But why don't atheists laugh at and tease Christians, Jews, Muslims, whatever in public? They are, after all, hanging on to grown-up Santa Clauses.

We're too busy aborting fetuses, burning American flags, and having glorious 3-way gay sex for that kind of thing.

God exists.
No grown up Santa Clauses.
Atheists will find this out too late.
The question should be why don't Christian and other religions laugh in the faces of Atheists, why are they so polite to Atheists in public? After all the majority of people have the good sense to know that there is a God, what is so majorly flawed with Atheists that they don't have the good sense.

Because just because somone is a Christian does not mean that they are a doormat and perfect litlle angels. I dare you to laugh in some Christians face (literally) you might realize that not all of us turn the other cheek after you've just gotten your @ss waxed.
I mean no disrespect to Any Atheist. A fool is a fool, whether they are Christian fools, Atheist fool, Muslim fools, etc.

While I don't feel the need to respect someone's superstitious opinion, I don't encourage disrespecting the person. Their belief may be silly and irrational, but that doesn't give me a right to 'laugh in their faces.'

Because they're people first, and it's unkind and lacking compassion to cause them harm/suffering... and I try to be as compassionate as I can humanly muster... sometimes I lose my calmness and go bonkers on people but that's never to make fun of them, just to give them a good chewing-out for hate speech or somesuch...

Most Atheists are so, due to a more mature logic.
Why, then, would they spend so much time taunting others, rather than engaging them in stimulating conversation?

I don't find them polite at all. I note that their answers are often hateful and malicious. The Christian responses are much more respectful. That says something. Why are atheists even on this topic? This is religion and spirituality. Why are they so concerned with peoples beliefs?

I gave up being polite to those clowns years ago. If one of them accosts me in public and starts spewing their bible B.S. I just tell them to F off and that I have never been as stupid as it takes to believe in silly infantile god fantasies.

Because in my opinion, it doesn't matter what religion you are, as long you are friendly to me and everyone around you. It's when people start insulting atheism and myself not believing in god that I get mad. But if you just state your beliefs nicely I don't care.

Because I would size you up for the middle-brow, pseudo-intellectual, petulant brat you are. Better do your spit-wad war from behind your avatar and keyboard.
