Count me in the import column. Most American domestics are too weak for my taste, why even bother drinking them other than to flush yourself out? LOL

What about you?

Dogglebe, I agree there are exceptions.

Wow, Lisa, calm down! Why do you find this offensive? I mention, by implication, that American is "domestic" for me, so that is MY point of view for MY question. If you want to ask the same question from the Canadian point of view, be my guest!

There are many worse things to get mad about than an American asking an innocuous question.

Too weak? American breweries make the strongest beers in the world! You just have to look past the mega-brewed beers and at the smaller breweries.

Regarding domestic vs import? It depends what I want at the time.

Some of the premium Canadian beers are quite good, but on the whole I'll usually go for imported English ales, aka real ale.

Domestic by far,
Schlafly is a great beer based in St. Louis, Missouri, just like Anhueser Busch...imagine that,
they have (I think 6 or 7) different beers and they are very strong, they also have seasonal beers which are even better

Most domestic beers are indeed piss-water... but when you consider breweries like Stone, Great Lakes, and Rogue... you know that yellow fizz is for sissies. Count my vote in on the great variety of domestic brews (especially microbrews).

(But i'll have a Guiness anyday...)

Domestic usually! But sometimes I like to have a Stella!(Imported!) for a change!

Normal beer of choice...varies, but I guess Domestic and Yuengling Lager. Tastes good and is cheap.

Domestic for me. I like my watery American beer. I've tried imports but I just think they're gross. I stick with what I like!

I developed a taste for German Pilsner when I was in the Army stationed in Karlsruhe. Schell's brewery (New Ulm, MN) makes a good Pilsner.
