find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

one of the things nobody really realises is that after the body reaches an ideal working weight, it tries to maintain this weight, therefore in your situation, you find it hard to get to a lower weight, even though you want to. this is because your body may be functioning optimally at your current weight, and although it may fluctuate (depending on whether you eat a lot or starve!) it will most probably stay at around the same weight-
the reason why you start to eat obsessively is probably because once you lose some weight (and are conscious of it) your body feels its okay to put it on again, as it was fine when you were that weight before.

it could be to do with psychological issues too however, or to do with certain times of the hormone cycle if youre a female.

generally though, when we lose weight (from an optimal weight), the body works to put it back on and keep the body well nourished, in case of supposed famine (to do with cavemen times!)

you can combat this if you have a strong will, and dont do food shopping when you're hungry- that way you'll end up buying inapproprate gorging foods.

however, if you ARE at an okay weight, with an okay BMI and pear shape (NOT apple shape), then i suggest you be happy with your body, and not worry too much about weight.
remember: when you love yourself, others love you too :)
