If you have had your tonsils out ond adenoids too this can happen sometimes because you have come in contact and are in the process of fighting a cold. Try Vitamin C drops also drink plenty of fluids and gargle warm salty water. If you still have your tonsils this could be because of them if it hurts really bad and the last possibility is strep throat look in the mirror and then shine a flash light in your mouth and see if you have white or yellow patches in the back of our throat if you do its strep and you need antibiotics hope I helped.

Go to the doctor. Those swollen glands are probably lymph nodes. If you also have a sore throat, you probably have strep. That means you need to be on an antibiotic.

You could also have mono. Go see the doctor, either of these conditions can have serious complications if left untreated.

Until then, drink a lot of water to keep your throat open.

Get Well First to shrink the glands/lymph nodes. As your body fights the infection the dead cells collect and must be filtered so drink plenty of fluids to help wash your system out.

You can not self diagnose something like a swollen glands... You need to see a doctor, it's better early than sorry later.

Swollen glands usually just mean that your system is fighting infection naturally. If that is the only problem your system is taking care of itself.

It should be ok in a few days to a week.
They are just lymph nodes and they will most likley go down soon.
if it lasts longer then a week then you need to see a Dr.
I went to my dr about mine and he said its a normal thing and they will go down but if they dont with in a week to come back.

To make them go down sooner
