Different trainers have different opinions on that - some will suggest that you lift weights first as your muscles arent tired and you'll get a more effective workout and others say wait until they're warmed up and you'll be able to have more sustainable workouts therefore being more beneficial. Its up to you really and how you feel - if you're extremely tired after running do your weights first. I personally prefer doing the cardio first and the stretching, lifting etc afterwards as its a good way to slowly come off of the long intense workout without just stopping.

Lift weights. I don't know why, I just remembered when I was on the high school swim team we always had to hit the gym before the pool.

I like to get my heart rate to about 120 befoer I lift, It is a good warm up for your muscles and the better blood flow will help you have a better work out. I then do 1 muscle group exercises before I do 2 group. In other words I curl before I bench and calf raise before squat.
good luck

The trainer I worked with said to run about 10 minutes first, to warm up your muscles. Then lift, then do an interval training, run fast/walk/run fast/walk etc....

lift first, running use essential vit. and min. you need for your muscles to develop.
truthfully they should be separated by hours if not every other day.

Either way is ok, I switch it around sometimes, it depends on the workout.
