It is dolce. For example, in music, if I was to say Play sweetly I would say it as dolce. The general Italian word for sweet is dolce, and dolce means sweet in Italian.

You see this a lot in music, where it's
given as a direction to play sweetly.
BTW: Spanish= dulce
French = doux
