You are on a path
Treaded by the
Courageous and Wise
To discover for your own self
God
Its a path
Strewed with thorns and hurdles of all kind
All in 'Human' form
To prevent you find the 'Truth'
May God
Give you strength in your search for 'Him'
Religions are False God is the only Truth.

Where you wind up depends on your choices. He might know where you're going but you don't. And He ain't gonna tell you. You have to decide where you want to go and follow that path. If you decide to wait and see what it is God is going to do, you might not like the outcome. He wants your faith. The only way He is going to get that from you is if you make choices and have faith in Him that it's the right choice for you.
The point of living is to decide if you want to go with Him in the end or not. Do you want the immediate fix of the here and now with the cars, houses, possessions, and money? Or do you want to find out what God has to offer, which, from what I hear, is MUCH better that all those things combined, when the time comes? It is entirely up to you.

I am a Catholic...(um...well, a Holiday Catholic if you will), I had decided to take that path as well. I feel you can have a personal relationship with God, and don't have to "trust in" his customer service representatives.
honestly, organized religion will always have its fanatics no matter what denomination. The answer is to rise above it and see it for what it really is.
I hope this helps. I may not have enlightened you much, but at least you know,...I am of the same mindset.

God knows ' WHERE " you can end up.
God gives you the choice, and you are responsible for your beliefs, actions, ideas, and the walk in your life.
God has made everything, and nothing exists without his permission.
You can do most anything in moderation, and still be walking with God, because everything created is by God, and can be used with Gods blessings.
But we can also use these same things for evil, no-good, wicked ways.
God did not make us, we CHOSE to.
Do not put your laziness on God, it is up to YOU.

well Leaving Christianity is leaving Christ the Saviour, so you have left God's plan for salvation to seek another..
The point of life is that you can change your mind and truly repent at any time..
To me that is not sensible. God loves you and wants the best for you in this life and in the life here-after. To leave the best for something less is not sensible..

You're refusing to accept a paradox: free will and predestination. God could see where you are going, but he is with you now to help you get to heaven. He desires that none should perish but that all would believe.

Okay, God created us with free will right? Because of free will, destiny does not exist. He created us and can only lead us but not determine where we go. He knows everything but not where we go because knowing that is interfering with our free will. He gives us the choice on which paths to take. He does not know your ultimate fate but can only help bring you to Him because that is the essence of free will.
i asked that recently as well and that explanation cleared it for me, hope i helped. =)

Bravo, you've just struck upon a concept that many people, especially Evangelicals, don't like to discuss (see the two answers before mine). It is both valid and worthy of debate.
