It may be nothing. I would show it to your vet the next time you go in for a check-up.

I wouldn't be overly concerned since it has not grown in size. These types of bumps are usually non-cancerous cysts. I would have the vet check it on your next regularly-scheduled visit. However, if it changes (grows, fills with fluid, spreads, etc), I would make an appointment.

I would definitely get this checked out. Whatever it is, it is clearly not a part of your dog's normal, healthy structure. Perhaps it turns out to be nothing, but I would have the vet tell me before I let it slide.

usually small bumps that are easily moved with the skin (not attached to the muscle underneath) that stay small are just sebaceous cysts (a sort of walled-off oily blister, completely harmless). they're common especially in cocker spaniels and schnauzers. nevertheless, whenever you take your dog for its annual check-up mention it to the vet.

my older dog had a fat mass on his side. the vet took a sample. we kept an eye on it to see if it ever grew. it didnt. the mass wasnt hard. he slept on that side too.

go to the vet so they can take a sample of the mass. after learing what the mass is, you can have a choice of keeping an eye on it or taking it out ASAP. we never took the mass out of our older dog. it never bothered him and it didnt grow.

good luck to you.

could be a fat deposit. my friend's dog got these occassionaly. he had them removed, but they were not harmful to the dog.

still, its a good idea to have the vet take a look.
