If you are a christian, yes.

Genesis 1:14 says god put lights (what we know as stars and planets) in the firmament "and let them be for signs". Also the birth of Jesus was supposedly foretold by astrologers who followed the stars to Bethlehem.

Some other religions also accept astrology. It is, after all, just as much nonsense as any god belief.

The answer is very simple. No. The signs are a type of pagan worship. Horoscope signs were first noticed on the top section of the tower of Babel, which was built by Nimrod. Horoscopes are written so vaguely that anyone can interpret the words so that they suite their own fancy. These predictions are nothing but deceptions. This is the same with witches, palm readers and magicians.

They actually have their base in the occult. Same as tarot card and tea-cup reading. They come from the history of fortune tellers and witches. King Saul (under obedience to God) had all the witches put to death for telling people their futures and calling up dead spirits because their power didn't come from God and they were doing it for money. King Saul actually used a witch to try and contact Samuel who had died already. God allowed Samuel to be shown to Saul and the witch was terrified because in her heart she new it wasn't possible to do on her own. Hope this helps. Read your Bible and maybe a concordance to help you find the right verses. Look in 1 Samuel 13:3-25

they have to do with astrology and the prediction of the future, which is a religion, even though they are not very organized.
A religion is something people do religiously, and people that don't move without their horoscope are religious about it..

Astrology was invented in Babylon (now Iraq). Biblically, it's right there with soothsayers (palm readers, psychics). It may work but it's forbidden because it doesn't come from God, but demonic spirits.

No they have nothing to do with religion.
in ancient Greece and china they observed the Sky's, which gave birth to the zodiac.

this is more of a cultural observance then a religious one.

Nope. Stars are for navigational purposes only. If people try to give stars other functions (controlling destiny), they run the risk of setting up partners with Allah (SWT). This known as "shirk."

They are just another way to separate a fool from his money. Snake oil in the stars.
