Limewire says it has detected a firewall. I have turned off the firewall in Windows but it still says the same thing? Any one know how to fix this? Thanks

Hooray for Vista... limewire is nothing but spyware, and the fact that Vista won't let it run is one of the BEST features of Vista!

Your problem is limewire isn't compatible with vista as of yet you'll need to keep an eye on the limewire website until a compatible version comes out

Check for additional firewalls/security programs. Do you have Norton or McAfee ?
Depending on your provider, the port could be blocked.
Are you connected to a router? There are not that many things that can cause this problem, but 1 or a combination of, could cause this problem.

you need to go intot he wirewall and tell it to allow limewire - you cannot fully turn off the firewall on vitsa - which is why a lot of people HATE vitsa
