Control panel is restricted by a registry entry. I have the START> RUN> REGEDIT part down.. I'm trying to update some drivers and need to enable the option to view the system icon if not all.. Thank You

I am the technical support specialist and this computer was imaged before I got here.. I would like to remove the registry entry for removing the icons from the control panel..

The reason the control panel - and therefore access to the system - is not available to you is that the owner of the computer doesn't want you updating drivers.

Have your system admin do that for you.

Try the access it by right-clicking on My Computer and select Manage. Then select Device Manager. It will be the same view as going through System to update drivers.

EDIT: have you tried gpedit.msc yet?
