I believe in other gods, I just choose not to follow them.

I respect the dieties called Zeus, Odin, Krishna, Thor, Apollo, etc.. (2 Peter 2:10-12 deals with this) as other celestial beings. I do not believe that a marble statue of Zeus is anymore Zeus that a plaster statue of Jesus is Jesus.

Do you believe in all these gods as well, or just the ones that appeal to you?

zues never did anything for me. My ex believed in Odin and I prefer to have nothing to do with my ex. Who is Krishna? And I've had enough bad experiences with the goddess to want to stay far away from her.

God has done more for me then any of them. When I was down, He helped me feel good again. When I walk into a church (Catholic church), I feel alive and free. None of the Wiccan circles, or Pagan rituals I attended ever sang in my soul the way the Catholic religion does.

The Bible satisfies my standards for scientific accuracy and internal coherence. The pagan beliefs just don't do it for me.

And yes, I may use some of the old pagan traditions in celebrating Easter (and believe me honey, I'm not celebrating/worshipping her on that day) but that's because I'm not so uptight I can't enjoy the usurped pagan traditions.

It doesn't take a conspiracy theory to disprove Zeus. You have to come up with a far fetched conspiracy theory to explain against how Daniel prophesied the exact day the savior would arrive and then Jesus fulfilled it when he rode into Jerusalem on a Donkey. You also need a ludicrous conspiracy theory to explain how all of Jesus disciples endured torture to death for claiming what they saw with their own eyes. Reasonable people with a heart choose Jesus. Angry emotional people just tell themselves rational-lies.

For one thing out of MANY, have ANY of your gods ever died and resurrected? Have ANY of your gods the power to forgive sins? IS any of your gods the Only begotten Son of the Most High God? Has ANY of your gods laid down their life for you so that you may be with them for eternity in Paradise? HAS ANY of your gods created a man to be with Him forever more and GIVEN the Free Will choice to do so, to Accept the Creator OR Reject the Creator, AND STILL LOVE His Creation. When you can answer these things get back to me, OR ask me more and I will help you understand what you need to know.

Actually, I don't celebrate Babylonian holidays.

I celebrate Resurrection Day, not Easter.

I don't celebrate the winter solstice, I celebrate Christmas but don't idolize the tree.

So, what would be your next question?

My God gives me joy, peace that passes understanding, and contentment. Does your 'god' do that?

By the way, it's called Resurrection Day--Not Easter.
