I have that too! Hypothyroidism I call it the "HIPPO" disease cause I've gained a lot of weight. Maybe the doctor just hasn't gotten the right dosage prescribed for you yet. It may take a few blood test and changes in mgs to level you out. I've been on Synthroid for approx. 4 years. I was so tired I slept 12 to 14 hrs a day for a year before I finally went to to doc. I feel much better since I've been on the meds., however I've not lost the weight and sometimes have hardly any energy. I started taking Vitamin B Complex and it helps a lot on the lazy issue! I wonder if I have fever and just never realize it. Doc just checked mine 3 days ago, everything was fine. I have never had nodules of goiters. It is just slow acting. My friend had to have surgery and some of hers removed. I don't think we can live without the thyroid all together can we? That is scary, I don't really understand what percentage of all thyroid disease turns to cancer or if one has anything to do with the other.
Here is a little info on your type.

Doc didn't say anything like that about mine. All he said was it was under active. Do I have the same thing or is there a difference?

well for one your thyroid gland is inflammed and needs to be removed or you will suffer. as for your synthroid i think when you took it a second time after a couple days from the first, your condition went from good to worse. but since im not a pharmacist i cant tell you why synthroid did what it did, so i agree with everyone else who say that you should see a dr before it gets really worse

Sometimes we think it is the disease causing the symptoms when

it is really the medication

I don't know too much about synthroid so

I am not saying it is the medication

just that sometimes we need to

stop taking medication to try

to become healthy through good diet, nutrition

and things like kelp and iodine tincture

do not mix your medications with supplements

though without checking with a doctor
